- 2 tbsp granulated sugar or honey/maple syrup
- 1 tsp baking powder aluminum-free
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¾ cup buttermilk or milk + 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp melted butter or coconut oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Non-stick cooking spray

Mix Dry Ingredients: Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
