Ingredients

For the Salmon Bites:

  • 1 lb skinless salmon fillet cubed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & black pepper to taste

For the Honey Garlic Glaze:

  • 3 tbsp honey or maple syrup for vegan
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos for gluten-free
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or lemon juice
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes optional

Garnish: Sesame seeds, green onions, lime wedges

Instructions

  • Prep Salmon: Pat salmon dry with paper towels. Cube into 1-inch pieces. Toss with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook Salmon: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high. Sear salmon in a single layer for 2–3 minutes per side until crispy. Remove from pan.
  • Make Glaze: In the same skillet, sauté garlic for 30 seconds. Add honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Simmer 1–2 minutes until thickened.
  • Coat & Serve: Toss salmon in glaze until glossy. Garnish and serve immediately!

Notes

  1. Crispiness Hack: Pat salmon thoroughly dry to avoid steaming.
  2. Substitutions:
    • Swap salmon with shrimp or tofu.
    • Use lime juice instead of vinegar for tang.
  3. Storage: Keep in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for crispiness.
  4. Kid-Friendly: Skip red pepper flakes and reduce honey by 1 tbsp.
