Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets 6 oz each, skin-on
  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled & deveined
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning homemade or store-bought
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 lemon juiced + wedges for serving
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh parsley chopped, for garnish
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

Prep the Seafood:

  • Pat salmon and shrimp dry with paper towels.
  • Generously rub Cajun seasoning on both sides of salmon and shrimp.

Sear the Salmon:

  • Heat olive oil in skillet over medium-high.
  • Add salmon skin-side down; cook 4-5 mins until crispy. Flip, cook 3-4 mins. Remove and set aside.

Cook the Shrimp:

  • Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic to skillet.
  • Sauté shrimp 2-3 mins until pink and curled. Avoid overcooking!

Combine & Serve:

  • Return salmon to skillet. Squeeze lemon juice over everything.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Spice Level: Reduce Cajun seasoning by 1 tsp for milder heat.
  • Substitutions: Use ghee instead of butter for dairy-free.
  • Storage: Leftovers keep 2 days in fridge (reheat gently in skillet).
  • Serving Tip: Pair with cilantro lime rice or crusty bread for soaking up garlic butter.
  • Meal Prep: Double the Cajun spice mix and freeze seafood portions for faster dinners.
